Management Accountant

  • 28hrs per week
  • Salary: £22k - £29k FTE

Do you have the desire to work for a charitable organisation and contribute towards improving life for families?  A prominent women's charitable organisation covering the West Mercia region is seeking a Management Account to join their team on a part-time basis (av. 28 hours p/w).

This role will be responsible for the monthly management accounts, annual accounts, budgeting and forecasting, and include the production of financial reports to a range of funding agencies, invoicing and payments, and monthly payroll for the organisation.  This role is key to the continued growth and sustainability of the organisation, and to the strategic business planning process.

DUTIES

  • Working closely with the CEO and Trustees to develop realistic and affordable annual budgets, making adjustments in the light of regular income and expenditure information and forecasts.
  • Developing cash flow projections as required and contributing to the risk assessment determining the level of cash reserves needed by the organisation.
  • Contributing to the guiding decision making through financial modelling, options appraisal and advising on the financial implications of proposed developments.
  • Production of financial and statistical information, including monthly management accounts, year-end reports, financial projections, reforecasting and calculating reserves, cash flows, quarterly business objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • AAT level 4
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel and Brightpay payroll and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Positive and proactive approach to problem solving and service development.
  • Confident and able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex financial data/concepts to a range of people verbally and in reports.
  • Ability to help the organisation realise its objectives through sound financial management and strategy.

In accordance with our safeguarding procedures, this position requires an enhanced DBS check.
