Women's Aid are absolutely delighted to announce that the Midcounties Co-operative have exceeded their original ÂŁ200,000 target to raised an amazing grand total of ÂŁ345,000 for Women's Aid.
Ambassador for Children and Young People, JahmĂŠne Douglas accepted a donation of ÂŁ330,000 on behalf of Womenâs Aid on 8th February 2013 in Brighton. This has since risen to ÂŁ345,000 thanks to the addition of last minute donations.

Lynda Bellingham, actress, author and survivor of domestic abuse has agreed to become a patron of West Mercia Women's Aid.
Jan Frances CEO said, "We are absolutely delighted that Lynda has agreed to be our patron, she is an inspiration to all survivors of domestic abuse and we look forward to working with her in the future".

A special event to celebrate West Mercia Womenâs Aid 30 year anniversary will take place next month in Worcester.
The event â which will welcome comedian, actress and writer Jo Brand â will take place at The Old Rectifying House on Monday 11 March from 12midday to 2.00pm.
As keynote speaker Jo will focus on celebrating women; other speakers will include West Mercia Womenâs Aid Chief Executive Jan Frances and Chair of the Trustees Nick Fisher.

A new initiative headed up by Herefordshire organisation âGrowing Local is Going Localâ has been given a ÂŁ2,100 donation from Cargillâs Meat Business in Hereford. Working in conjunction with West Mercia Womenâs Aid (WMWA), the âFamily Plot to Plateâ project is designed to help empower women affected by domestic violence and abuse by encouraging them to grow and cook their own fruit and vegetables.
